Connor Hughes has a diverse work experience beginning in 2015 as a Sailing Instructor at Sail Sand Point. In 2016, they were Co-Captain of the University of Washington Sailing Team and Captain of the University of Washington Human Powered Submarine Team. In 2017, Connor was an Engineering Intern at Booz Allen Hamilton, working in AR/VR Software Development. In 2018, they were an Engineering Intern at Glosten. In 2019, Connor was a Marine Electrical Engineer at Glosten and also worked on a Microsoft Research Labs Capstone Project at the University of Washington. In 2021, Connor was a Mechatronics Engineer Intern at Flexiv Ltd. and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UC Santa Barbara. Currently, Connor is a Robotics Engineer at Flexiv Ltd.
Connor Hughes completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics Pathway) from the University of Washington College of Engineering in 2019, with a 3.66 GPA. Prior to that, they attended Woodinville High School from 2012 to 2015. Connor is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering - Dynamic Systems, Controls, & Robotics at UC Santa Barbara.
