Joseph Mandara (Joey)

Joseph "Joey" Mandara has a diverse work experience in the field of marine conservation and research. Joseph "Joey" started their career in 2013 as an Education and Fundraising Intern at Shark Angels. In the same year, they also gained experience as a Coral Reef Ecosystem Research Intern at Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium. From 2014 to 2017, Joey worked as an Aquarium Biologist Technician at Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium. Joseph "Joey" then held the position of Staff Biologist at the same organization from 2017 to 2019. In 2019, they joined The Nature Conservancy as a South Florida Marine Conservation Specialist and worked until 2020. Currently, Joey is serving as a STEM Director at Florida National High Adventure Sea Base, Boy Scouts of America.

Joseph "Joey" Mandara completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General from Delaware Valley University between 2009 and 2013. Joseph "Joey" then pursued higher education and obtained a Master's degree in Biology, General from the University of Saint Joseph during the period of 2016 to 2020.
