Neil Cameron

Head of Product at Flow Engineering

Neil Cameron started their career at GE Aviation in 2007, working as an Engineering Project Manager for a data capture and process control system in aerospace component manufacturing. Neil successfully managed the project from implementation to completion, resulting in significant cost savings and improved production control.

After working at GE Aviation, Neil joined Vestas in 2010 as a Structural Design Engineer. Neil led a team and designed lightning protection and de-icing systems for wind turbine blades. Neil also developed a simulation in Python to persuade the company to change de-icing technology and implemented a cost model for blade material optimization.

In 2012, Neil worked at Lotus F1 Team as a Mechanical Design Engineer, contributing to the design of Formula One racing cars. Neil then moved on to McLaren Automotive Ltd in 2015, where they worked as a Chassis Design Engineer. Neil's experience in automotive engineering continued at McLaren Racing in 2016, where they served as a Suspension Design Engineer.

Currently, Neil is the Head of Product at Flow Engineering, a startup that brings software tooling advancements to the hardware industry. In this role, they are responsible for product management, company strategy, and customer success. Neil has achieved significant milestones and is proud of the company's progress.

Neil Cameron obtained a MEng in Engineering Design with a specialism in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Bristol, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. Prior to this, they completed their International Baccalaureate at Malmö Borgarskolan from 2002 to 2005, with a focus on subjects such as Maths HL, Physics HL, Chemistry SL, English HL, History HL, and German SL.

Neil Cameron also holds several additional certifications. In 2014, they obtained the Chartered Engineer (CEng) designation from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. Neil received the Design for Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Vestas in 2012 and the Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from GE Aviation in 2008.
