S Varun Kumar

S Varun Kumar has a diverse work experience in the field of robotics engineering and research. S Varun worked as a Robotics Engineer at the UK Atomic Energy Authority, where they developed robotic solutions for remote handling in challenging environments. S Varun was responsible for delivering robotics hardware and software integration technologies for remote handling operations supporting fusion reactors. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Robotics Engineer at the same organization.

Varun also served as a Lead Roboticist at FLOX, where they handled in-house robotics and IoT projects for improved poultry health and welfare. S Varun coordinated and delivered major technical milestones, reporting directly to the CEO and CTO.

Additionally, Varun worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Bath, focusing on the development of a portable point-of-care kit for COVID-19 antigen detection. S Varun was responsible for various tasks including the development of microfluidic heating elements, pump actuation, and design of a microfluidic plug-play interface system.

S Varun Kumar started their education at Christ Church Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in Chennai, India from 2002 to 2012, where they completed their SSLC Middle School degree. S Varun then attended Velammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai, India from 2013 to 2015, where they pursued a degree in HSS with a focus on Science and Mathematics.

After completing their secondary education, Varun enrolled at Anna University and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from 2015 to 2019.

In 2019, they joined the University of Bath and completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Robotics and Autonomous Systems in 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Varun has obtained various certifications. In 2016, they acquired the "Skills of Automation Engineer" certification from the International Society of Automation (ISA). In 2017, they obtained certifications in "C++ Programming" from Coursera and "LabVIEW" from National Instruments. In the same year, they completed a certification in "Industrial Automation and Control" from NPTEL. In 2018, they obtained a certification in "Python" from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
