Jakub Janowski

Jakub Janowski has a diverse work experience primarily in software engineering and development roles. Jakub started their career as a Frontend Developer at Idel.pl in 2016. Jakub then worked as a Helpdesk Employee at Urząd Marszałkowski Województwa Małopolskiego for a brief period in 2018.

In the same year, they joined AGH University of Science and Technology as a Backend Developer, where they contributed to the development of a remote mobile biometric authorization system. Their responsibilities included designing a remote authentication protocol based on FIDO UAF and integrating the system with biometric modules provided by third parties.

In 2019, Jakub joined Samsung Electronics Polska as a Junior Software Engineer and later transitioned to the role of a Software Engineer. During their time at Samsung, they worked on the development of a MongoDB operator component, enabling effective database usage for the 5G Core system in a Kubernetes cluster. Jakub also handled API development, including alerts, alert rules, and notification endpoints, as well as collecting metrics from Prometheus.

Currently, Jakub is working as a Backend Engineer at FLYR Labs. Their tasks include developing a revenue management system for airlines and working on new functionalities for the aviation industry. Jakub also focuses on optimizing the processing of large amounts of data daily. Their tech stack includes Python, PostgreSQL, Argo Workflows, GCP, Docker, K8s, and git.
