Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at FlySafair

Shaldan Suripersadh's work experience includes serving as a Senior Licensed Aircraft Structures Technician at South African Airways from August 2003 to November 2021. In this role, Shaldan was responsible for Aircraft Structures Maintenance on various types of airplanes, such as B737-200/300/400/800, B747-200/300/400/SP, A319-100, A320-200, A330-200/300, A340-200/300/600, up to D-check level in the Base/Heavy Maintenance environment. The job duties also included inspecting and releasing tasks performed by apprentices and unlicensed technicians, as well as assisting the Production Leader with on-the-job training of apprentices. Currently, in 2022, Shaldan Suripersadh holds the position of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at FlySafair.

Shaldan Suripersadh has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. This degree was obtained between the years 2012 and 2019.

Prior to that, Shaldan obtained a National N3 Certificate in Airframe Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance Technology/Technician from Ekurhuleni West College in the year 2001.

In addition to these educational achievements, Shaldan has obtained several certifications. In 2010, they received a Shop certification (Release when Authorised) from South African Airways. In 2003, they obtained an Aircraft Structures trade certificate, also from South African Airways. Lastly, in 2015, Shaldan obtained an Aerospace/Aircraft Assembly Maintenance Certification from SACAA.
