Evan Picard

Evan Picard, GISP has a diverse range of work experience in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Evan began their career as a Consultant at AD-Energy in 2010, where they provided consulting services. Evan then worked as a GIS Specialist at Nelson, Pope & Voorhis, LLC from November 2010 to April 2013. During this time, they developed expertise in GIS technologies.

In 2011, Evan joined Marketwell/Avon as a Consultant, where they continued to utilize their GIS skills for marketing projects until April 2013. Evan also worked as a GIS Developer at the New York City Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications from April 2013 to June 2013.

In 2012, Evan served as a Consultant for Toyota/Dentsu, where they developed dealership and service location maps for a nationwide marketing project. Evan then joined PlaceIQ in June 2013 as a Cartography Data Guy, responsible for developing and refining a basemap database and leading a team of contractors. Evan later transitioned into the role of Senior Geospatial Manager in January 2016, where they spearheaded the development of custom tools and managed a team of distributed contractors until March 2019.

Evan also worked as a GIS Consultant in 2020, where they built workflows and custom queries to integrate satellite data with public data sources in real-time. In 2021, they joined The New School as a GIS Consultant, collaborating with professors to develop a Mapbox application for their upcoming publication. Evan then worked as a Data Engineer at Atomic Maps from November 2021 to April 2022, where they built geospatial pipelines and conducted analysis for a national real estate client.

Currently, Evan is working at FM Global as the Geolocation Business Lead, a position they started in July 2022.

Evan Picard, GISP received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from the University of Delaware in the years 1993-1997. Prior to that, they attended Mepham High School, but no specific information on degrees or field of study is provided.
