Dino Di Carlo

Co-Founder and Board Member at Forcyte Biotechnologies

Dino Di Carlo has a long and varied career in the field of bioengineering. Dino began their career in 2008 as an Assistant Professor at UCLA, and was promoted to Associate Professor and then Professor, where they operated as the CEO of a 20 person research laboratory, raising funds, budgeting, strategically identifying project areas, communicating their work, and managing and advising lab activities, as well as teaching courses in biomedical engineering design and fluid mechanics. In 2016, they were appointed Vice Chair of UCLA's Department of Bioengineering. Dino has also held visiting professor positions at The University of Tokyo and scientific advisor positions at Cue Health Inc. since 2016 and 2010 respectively. In addition, they are a co-founder and board member of Partillion Bioscience, Hana Diagnostics, Forcyte Biotechnologies, Inc., Tempo Therapeutics, CytoVale, and Vortex Biosciences, Inc., since 2020, 2017, 2014, and 2012 respectively.

Dino Di Carlo earned a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2006, after having completed their Ph.D. studies in the same field at the University of California, San Francisco in 2002.
