Jonathan Travis has a diverse work experience in the field of battery technology and materials science. Jonathan is currently employed at Forge Nano, Inc. as a Battery Technology Sales Engineer, where they educate manufacturers about the benefits of integrating Atomic Armor into their products. Prior to this, they worked as an R&D Junior Scientist and Junior R&D Engineer at Forge Nano, where they gained experience in the maintenance and operation of Fluidized Bed Particle ALD reactors.

Before joining Forge Nano, Jonathan worked as an Independent Consultant from 2016 to 2021, providing their expertise to various clients. Jonathan also worked as a Senior Scientist at ITN Energy Systems from 2019 to 2020. At CIE Solutions, they held multiple roles, including Electrical Assembly and Testing Supervisor, Technical Sales Representative, and Assembly Technician. Jonathan gained practical experience in fabricating and characterizing custom lithium-ion battery systems.

Jonathan's educational background includes being a Materials Chemistry Graduate Student at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where they focused on stabilizing lithium-ion battery electrode materials through protective coatings. Additionally, they were a Graduate Student Intern at Sandia National Laboratories, where they learned the assembly process of 18650 type lithium-ion batteries. As an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Texas at Austin, they contributed to characterizing organic photovoltaic materials and also served as a Freshman Research Initiative Mentor.

Jonathan Travis completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at The University of Texas at Austin from 2006 to 2010. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Chemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2010 to 2015.
