Ashley Borniger

Ashley Borniger is the current Fellow Manager at Formation. Prior to this, they were the Director of Undergraduate Student Success at Friends University from October 2017 to January 2021. In this role, they advised undecided and liberal studies undergraduate students and high school seniors. Ashley also collaborated with faculty, staff and athletic coaches to ensure academic progress and success. In addition, they fostered and supported student development from admission to graduation. Ashley also evaluated incoming course credits for transfer students. Ashley taught a first-year seminar course focusing on time management, organization, educational resources and academic success. Furthermore, they designed an early alert system to increase academic progress and retention. Ashley was also a member of the Undergraduate Retention Committee. Lastly, they selected and provided leadership opportunities for 20 undergraduate student mentors. Ashley has also co-created an advisor training to provide education and support to new academic advisors. Prior to their role at Friends University, Ashley was the Family Medicine Residency Coordinator at HCA Healthcare from May 2014 to October 2017. Before that, they were an Academic Advisor at Butler Community College from August 2010 to May 2014.

Ashley Borniger has a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from The University of Texas at Austin in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration. Ashley also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from The University of Kansas. Ashley Borniger graduated from Blue Valley Northwest High School.
