Joshua Livermore has a wealth of experience in bioprocessing and applied biotechnology. Joshua began their career as a Ph.D. Candidate at The University of Iowa - College of Engineering in 2008. In 2012, they moved on to become a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Notre Dame. From 2013 to 2016, they held the role of Production Manager at BioProcess Algae and Fermentation R & D Manager at Kemin Industries. In 2019, they became an Independent Bioprocess Consultant, providing part-time fermentation and applied biotechnology consulting services. Joshua currently holds the role of Head of Bioprocessing at Formo, where they are responsible for producing proteins through precision fermentation to create high-tech cheeses. Joshua is based in their Frankfurt, Germany office. In addition, they have also held the role of Adjunct Assistant Professor at Iowa Lakeside Laboratory, where they designed and led a new field and laboratory based course on molecular ecology.
Joshua Livermore obtained their PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Iowa in 2008.
