Dr. Bernhard Schaffrik

Dr. Bernhard Schaffrik is a seasoned professional in automation and innovation, currently serving as Principal Analyst at Forrester since April 2020. Previously, Dr. Schaffrik was the Head of Innovation & New Technologies at Merck KGaA, where expertise in AI, blockchain, and RPA facilitated the streamlining of shared services processes. With over a decade at Merck Group, contributions included driving digitalization in the electronics business and managing global IT enterprise architecture. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Manager at IDS Scheer, specializing in business process and enterprise architecture management consulting. Dr. Schaffrik holds a Doctoral Degree in Economic and Social Sciences from Helmut-Schmidt-Universität/Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg and a Diplom-Kaufmann in Business Administration from Universität Passau, complemented by academic experience at the University of California, Berkeley.
