Principal Rail Accreditation at Fortescue Metals

Robert (Bob) Pemberton has a diverse work experience spanning several companies in the mining industry. Robert (Bob) started their career in 1980 at Hamersley Iron Pty Ltd as a Senior Systems Analyst, where they worked until 1989. Robert (Bob) then moved on to Rio Tinto, where they held the same role from 1990 to 1996. From 1997 to 2003, Pemberton worked at BHP Billiton as a Senior Systems Analyst. In 2003, they joined Fortescue Metals Group Ltd as the Principal Rail Accreditation, where they were responsible for gaining Rail Safety Accreditation and Compliance from the ONRSR. Robert (Bob) played a crucial role in gaining the company's original Rail Accreditation, as well as obtaining Regulator approval for upgrading wagon axle load.

Robert (Bob) Pemberton attended Rossmoyne Senior High School from 1970 to 1974. Robert (Bob) then went on to study Electronics Engineering at the University of Western Australia from 1975 to 1978, earning a BEng degree.
