Derek Gallant

Derek Gallant has a diverse and extensive work experience in the gaming industry. Derek is currently working as a Technical Lead at Fortis Games. Prior to this, they worked at Playco as an Engineering Manager.

Before joining Playco, Derek worked at Prodigy Education in various roles including Senior Engineering Manager, Game Development, Engineering Manager, Game Development, Architect, Game Development, and Game Developer. Derek also gained experience as a Game Programmer at PopReach Incorporated and Lead Programmer at Smiling Buddha Games, LLC.

Derek started their career as a Game Programmer at Little Guy Games, where they worked on various mobile titles and projects and led a team of designers, programmers, and artists on a mobile and web product called Little Bandits. Before that, they worked as a Junior Programmer at Art Activated, where they contributed to the development of an unreleased mobile title.

Derek Gallant pursued their education from 2009 to 2012, completing an Advanced Diploma in Game Programming from Humber College.
