Guilherme Korn

Game Designer at Fortis Games

Guilherme Korn has a diverse work experience, starting in 2008 with their role as a Bassist in the band Brazuka. Guilherme was responsible for composing music and creating bass lines for both original and cover songs. In 2010, they joined the band Harmônico 3 as a Guitar Player, mainly focusing on rhythm guitar and occasionally playing solos.

In 2011, Guilherme worked at Injet Informática as a Cartridge Recycler, where they handled the recycling of toner cartridges. The following year, in 2012, they became an Exchange Student Monitor at the Setor de Extensão - Faculdade de Letras - UFRJ, assisting international exchange students.

In 2012, Guilherme also began their involvement with the gaming industry, working as a Blogger for Voo da Fênix. From 2012 to 2015, they held the position of Lead Game Designer and Editor at the same company.

From 2013 to 2014, Guilherme explored their musical talents further by joining the band Identidade Brazuka as a Bassist.

In 2016, they started teaching as a Professor at SENAC RJ, where they taught various aspects of game design, including software, scripts, storyboards, and game design concepts. Guilherme also supervised the creation of digital and analog games.

In 2017, Guilherme became the Lead Game Designer at Mundos de Papel, a role they held until 2021. During this time, they were responsible for overseeing the game design process.

In 2021, they briefly worked as a Game Designer at Oktagon Games before joining Fortis Games in 2022, where they currently hold the position of Game Designer.

Guilherme Korn began their education in 2010 at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Portuguese/Japanese. Guilherme specialized in Japanese and Portuguese literature and languages during their time there, completing their degree in 2015. In 2012, Guilherme attended Senai RJ and focused on game design, specifically indie RPGs. Guilherme further expanded their knowledge and skills in this area. In 2014, they enrolled in UNESA-RJ for a technologist program in games. This program allowed him to delve into various aspects of game design, including programming, 2D and 3D modeling, image editing, character creation, and storyboard. Guilherme completed this program in 2016, solidifying their expertise in game design.
