Michael Reis

Michael Reis currently serves as the AVP of Insurance Analytics at Fortitude Re since April 2023. Michael has previous experience as a Modern Technologies for Disaster Management Intern at the UN Environment Programme, where contributions included producing reports on AI for land restoration, organizing webinars, and coordinating a coding hackathon. Prior to that, Michael worked as a Legal Clinic Researcher at the Center for International Environmental Law, focusing on carbon capture laws, and held various actuarial roles at Jackson, where responsibilities included financial modeling and participation in diversity initiatives. Michael's education includes a JD in Environmental Law from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, an LLM in International Law from Geneva Graduate Institute, an MA in Mathematics of Finance from Columbia University, and a BS in Mathematics and Actuarial Science from Xavier University.
