Murugs Lingaswamy

Murugs Lingaswamy has a diverse and extensive work experience in IT infrastructure and operations.

Starting in 1988, Murugs worked as an Assistant Manager and Assistant Executive Engineer at ITI Ltd, where they installed and supported various Unix and DEC VAX systems, as well as implemented systems using Oracle forms and databases.

In 1994, they joined Motorola Solutions as an IT Manager and later became a Manager of Information Technology. Murugs supported the implementation of ERP 11.0.3 with high availability and disaster recovery solutions across multiple regions. Murugs also designed a 24/7 support model for databases and server infrastructure teams.

From 2003 to 2007, Murugs served as a Senior Manager at CSC, leading and managing the Database Service Delivery team for five business units. Murugs implemented load balancing and high availability solutions for Oracle and Informix databases, as well as managed Oracle eBusiness ERP applications and Microsoft SQL servers.

At Motorola Mobility, Murugs held the role of Director of Global Infrastructure Services from 2007 to 2010. Murugs led and managed a global team supporting databases, servers, storage, and networks across five business units in multiple regions. Murugs improved IT infrastructure availability and performance through the implementation of high availability and disaster recovery solutions, as well as by migrating to vendor supported and virtualized platforms.

During their time at Google as an IT Director from 2010, Murugs led a global team responsible for 24/7 service delivery operations and project implementation support. Murugs created an empowered leadership team and developed IT strategies and architectures. Murugs also implemented cloud computing solutions using Salesforce and Oracle ERP R12.

From 2013 onwards, Murugs held various leadership positions at Fortune Brands Home & Security and MasterBrand Cabinets. Murugs worked as a Senior IT Director, responsible for infrastructure strategy, architecture, and operations. Murugs also had a dual role as Senior IT Director at both companies, overseeing infrastructure, cybersecurity, and leading IT transformations.

At MasterBrand Cabinets, Murugs was instrumental in implementing cybersecurity measures, including Splunk Bigdata enterprise Security and managed security operations.

Throughout their career, Murugs has consistently demonstrated their expertise in IT infrastructure, architecture, operations, and security, as well as their ability to lead global teams and drive transformations.

Murugs Lingaswamy attended Bharathiar University from 1984 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electronics and Communications.
