Owen Buehler

Owen Buehler has worked in the software engineering field since 2012. From 2012 to 2015, they were a Chemical and Software Engineering Intern at Bend Research, a division of Capsugel Dosage Form Solutions. During this time, they used a Phase-Doppler Particle Analyzer (PDPA) to predict atomization properties of drug-laden spray solutions, wrote applications in VBA that calculate, aggregate, and analyze PDPA data, implemented chemical process data collection software for cGMP manufacturing facility in PyQt, and mined historical PDPA data using Python and matplotlib. Owen also assisted Spray Drying division process engineers with day-to-day spray drying R&D operations, and assisted with the operation and maintenance of spray drying and PDPA equipment.

From 2015 to 2016, Owen Buehler was the Lead Developer at Last Second Beach, where they developed a RESTful website and mobile marketplace for distressed cruise and all-inclusive inventory. Owen also oversaw a team of four software developers by delegating tasks and selecting technologies for building the tech stack, and won First Place and $25,000 at the Cornell Hospitality Business Plan Competition 2016.

From 2016 to 2019, Owen Buehler worked at Groupon as a Software Development Engineer III. During this time, they worked on Groupon's Search Engine Marketing (SEM) team, building real-time bidding and attribution systems, data pipelines, and internal tools for search advertising.

Since 2019, Owen Buehler has been a Software Engineer at Forward. Owen has worked on Forward's proprietary EMR software, automating their processes for sending referrals and prescriptions, updates to the modeling and comms of member visits, and building Forward's suite of mental health products.

Owen Buehler attended Cornell University from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a degree in Computer Science from the College of Engineering.
