Ashley S

Ashley S has extensive experience in the education sector. Ashley currently holds the position of Director of Content in ELA/Humanities K-12 at Foundation Academies since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an ELA Teacher at Foundation Academy Charter School from November 2022 to July 2023. Ashley's previous role at Democracy Prep Public Schools included positions such as Curriculum and Instruction Specialist from July 2020 to June 2022, Instructional Coach from July 2019 to July 2020, ELA Department Chair from July 2016 to July 2020, and Founding ELA Teacher from August 2014 to June 2020. Ashley also had a brief tenure as a Leader U Resident (School Leadership training) from July 2016 to June 2017 at Democracy Prep Public Schools. Before joining Democracy Prep Public Schools, Ashley served as a Reading Teacher at Planet Abacus Charter School from September 2011 to June 2014.

Ashley S has a strong educational background in the field of education and literacy. Ashley completed their Bachelor's degree in English Language Arts Secondary Education at Dowling College from 2007 to 2009. During the same period, they also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the same institution. Following this, Ashley pursued a Master's of Science degree in Reading, Writing, and Literacy at the University of Pennsylvania from 2010 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Ashley also holds two certifications in project management. In 2022, they obtained The Asana Project Management Certificate from Harvard Division of Continuing Education Professional Development Programs. A year later, in 2023, they completed the Google Project Management Certificate on Coursera.
