Chang Xu is an accomplished biostatistician with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as Director of Biostatistics at Foundation Medicine since September 2020, following a role as Associate Director of Biostatistics. Prior to this, Chang Xu worked at QIAGEN as Associate Principal Statistician, where novel somatic variant calling tools smCounter and smCounter2 were developed, along with single-cell RNA-seq and T-cell Receptor sequencing data analysis pipelines. In earlier roles, Chang Xu was a Senior Biostatistician and Biostatistician at Ventana Medical Systems, contributing significantly to companion diagnostic projects and biomarker development, as well as presenting work at professional conferences. Additionally, Chang Xu held a Visiting Assistant Professor position at the University of Cincinnati after obtaining a PhD in Statistics from the University of Missouri and a B.S. in Mathematics from Peking University.
