James Andrus has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal and investment sectors. James is currently working as the Vice President of Sustainability Global Markets at Franklin Templeton since March 2023. Prior to that, they held various positions at CalPERS from 2014 to 2023, including Interim Managing Investment Director and Investment Manager. At CalPERS, they played a crucial role in developing and implementing regulatory strategies, communicating with international agencies, and influencing legislative decisions. Before CalPERS, they worked at K&L Gates as a Corporate and Investment Management Partner, where they built a successful corporate practice and advised institutional investors on various transactions. James also served as an Adjunct Professor at Seattle University School of Law in 2006.
