Kristine Yao

Kristine Yao is an accomplished professional in economic and housing research, currently serving as the Director of Economic and Housing Research at Freddie Mac since May 2019. Prior to this role, Kristine held the position of Chief Analytics Officer at Ascension Data & Analytics from July 2017 to May 2019 and served as a Principal Economist at CoreLogic, where responsibilities included custom research and analysis of real estate and mortgage market trends. Kristine's extensive experience also includes roles at JP Morgan Chase as a Senior Decision Science Analyst focusing on default risk analytics, and at Bear Stearns as Vice President in financial analytics for structured transactions. Kristine began a career in the mortgage industry at EMC Mortgage, where responsibilities spanned various analyst positions. Kristine holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science degree in Information Technology and Management from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas.
