Shane Merritt

Shane Merritt has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Shane began their career in 2009 as a Retail Store Manager at SHOE SHOW, INC. Shane successfully managed the retail store for almost 9 years before transitioning into the education sector.

In 2019, Shane joined Course Hero as a Content Developer, where they contributed to the development of educational materials. After a year, they moved to Outlier.org in 2020 and continued their career as a Content Developer for online educational courses.

In 2018, Shane joined Freedom Learning Group where they held multiple positions. Shane started as a Subject Matter Expert (Mathematics) and worked in this role for three years. Shane then progressed to become a Project Coordinator and later a Project Manager. In 2021, Shane was promoted to Senior Project Director, where they demonstrated leadership skills and successfully managed projects. Currently, they hold the position of Client Portfolio Director at Freedom Learning Group.

Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Buffalo State University in the years 2009 to 2011. Before pursuing their bachelor's degree, Shane attended Jamestown Community College from 2007 to 2009, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) in General Studies.
