Amanda Johnson

Community Sustainability And Resiliency Committee at Freese And Nichols, Inc.

Amanda Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Amanda began their career as a Student Technician at Texas A&M Transportation Institute in 2012, where they worked until 2015. In 2014, Amanda had the opportunity to intern at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality as a Mickey Leland Intern.

Since then, Amanda has been working at Freese and Nichols. Amanda started as a Project Engineer in 2016 and held this position until 2018. During this time, they also served as the Secretary for the Transmission and Utilities Technical Excellence Program. From 2018 onwards, Amanda transitioned to the role of Project Manager, overseeing various projects at the company. In 2023, they took on the additional responsibility of leading the Transmission and Utilities Technical Excellence Program. Amanda is currently involved with the Community Sustainability and Resiliency Committee at Freese and Nichols.

Amanda Johnson completed their education at Texas A&M University, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Civil Engineering from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from the same university, attending from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained a Professional Engineer certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers in August 2018 and an ENV SP certification from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure in July 2017.
