Julia Silbergeld has over fifteen years of experience in Human Resources and Organizational Development. In 2021, they began working as the Vice President of People for FreeWill. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as the Chief of People and OrgDev and the Director of Organizational Development and HR for MoveOn.org. In 2016, they served as an HR Business Partner for the San Francisco Chronicle and SFGATE. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Director of Community Strategy for FARMIGO, INC. From 2013 to 2014, they were a freelancer managing recruitment and strategic HR projects for a range of companies, startups, and nonprofits. In 2013, they were an MBA Candidate at the Berkeley Haas School of Business. From 2006 to 2013, they worked for Greenpeace in various roles, including HR Director, Frontline Operations Manager, Frontline Administrator, and Grassroots Recruitment Coordinator for Greenpeace Grassroots Program. In 2005, they were the Deputy Field Director for Democracy for America.
Julia Silbergeld attended Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles and graduated in 2001. Julia then attended Wesleyan University and graduated with a BA in Film in 2005. In 2011, they attended Georgetown University and obtained a Nonprofit Executive Management Certificate. Finally, they attended UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and obtained an MBA in 2015.
