Meara McNitt

As Social Media Director, Meara leads the development of content and social media advertising across social media platforms for businesses in varying industries. Along with writing the content, she assists her team in creating graphic and video media made to shine on social. She is constantly learning the latest tools and trends, and analyzing data and interactions to optimize client accounts. Meara is Sprout Social, Facebook Blueprint, and Snapchat Certified, ensuring her ability to monitor and develop social media accounts efficiently and successfully. Since joining Online Optimism in 2017, Meara has made Instagram look wicked cool.

Meara grew up in Slidell, where she dedicated most of her teenage years to learning and utilizing today’s top social media platforms from their earliest days. She earned her Bachelor’s in Film Arts with minors in Marketing and Hospitality from the University of New Orleans, where she worked for over two years under the Director of Marketing. She began as a Specialist here at Online Optimism and has grown with the company. Nowadays, when Meara is not at the office overseeing her team or playing with the office dogs, she’s at home overseeing her own social media accounts or crossing another title off of her never-ending “To Be Read” list.
