Dr. Verena Göswein

Dr. Verena Göswein is an accomplished ESG Manager for Real Estate at FREO Group S.A., where responsibilities include supporting construction and redevelopment projects focused on environmental sustainability. In addition, Dr. Göswein serves as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at ETH Zurich's Chair of Sustainable Construction, conducting important research on biobased construction materials and their impact on carbon storage and emissions. Previous roles include Senior Consultant and Technical Project Manager for the 'Circular EcoBIM' project at 3drivers, as well as experience as a Research Assistant at ETH Zurich and internships with pom+Consulting AG, Wienerberger AG, and Helbling Group. Dr. Göswein holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from ETH Zürich, and has participated in prestigious programs at both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and UC Berkeley.
