Rafael Velez

Rafael Velez is an experienced operations professional with a strong background in plant management and a proven track record in overseeing manufacturing operations across multiple companies. Currently serving as Plant Manager at Freshpet since June 2012, Rafael directs and coordinates overall plant operations to meet production objectives while maintaining cost and quality standards. Previously, Rafael held the position of Operations Manager at Flavor Right Foods and Givaudan, where responsibilities included overseeing manufacturing, logistics, quality, maintenance, and engineering functions. Rafael began a career at Nestle USA as Plant Superintendent, focusing on optimizing production activities and resource utilization. Rafael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business Administration from Lake Forest College.
