Avery Kotler has extensive work experience in legal and business counsel roles. Avery started their career as an Associate at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman in 1998 and later served as a Director of Business & Legal Affairs at pressplay from 2001 to 2003. Avery then joined Napster as the Vice President of Business & Legal Affairs, where they supported the organization's growth and expansion into international markets. From 2010 to 2013, they worked as a Senior Corporate Counsel at Best Buy. In 2013, they established their own company called Kotler Strategic, providing legal and business counsel to companies. Avery also served as an Advisory Board member for ThalamusGME and Whipper Snapper Media. Avery later worked as a Virtual General Counsel at FreshRealm. Currently, Avery Kotler is the Founding Principal of VGC LLP, where they offer pro-active and business-integrated counsel as a virtual General Counsel to various businesses.
Avery Kotler completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University from 1991 to 1995. Following this, they attended Georgetown University Law Center from 1995 to 1998, where they earned a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law. Prior to their tertiary education, Avery Kotler attended Ramaz, although no specific dates or degrees are provided for this educational experience.
