John Hedestig

John Hedestig has over 10 years of work experience in the field of data science. John began their career in 2009 as an Assistant Teacher at Lunds Universitet, where they were involved in courses such as Linear Algebra, Calculus, and Stationary Stochastic Processes. In 2011, they worked as a System Developer at Kockums AB on a short-term project on gamifying submarine interfaces. In 2012, they became a Customer Analyst at If P&C Insurance. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Klarna as a Data Science Team Lead, Senior Data Scientist, and Credit Risk Analyst/Data Scientist, where they coordinated the migration of two nordic markets to a new platform and developed and implemented new Credit default models for the German market. In 2018, they became a Data Scientist at Spotify. Currently, they are the Chief Data Scientist at Froda.

John Hedestig obtained a Master's Degree from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University between 2007 and 2012, where they studied Financial mathematics, Software Engineering, Economics, and Industrial Managment. From 2010 to 2011, they attended Shanghai Jiao Tong University to study Chinese, Cross Culture Management, and Economics.
