Keith Allen

Keith Allen is an accomplished bioinformatics professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology sector. Currently serving as the Director of Bioinformatics at Front Range Biosciences since August 2019, Keith has previously held similar leadership roles at Steep Hill and Syngenta Biotechnology Inc., where significant contributions included independent research on small RNAs, drought tolerance, and hybrid vigor. As a Science and Technology Research Fellow at Syngenta, Keith pioneered novel approaches to identifying polymorphisms linked to hybrid vigor and built the computational biology function from the ground up. Earlier career roles included leadership in high throughput metabolite analysis at Paradigm Genetics and overseeing gene discovery programs at Deltagen, Inc. Keith holds a PhD in Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BA in Biology from Reed College.
