Mphil Javed A. Bhalli Ph.D., Ert, Dabt

Javed A. Bhalli, MPhil, PhD, ERT, DABT, serves as the Senior Director of DMPK, Safety and Toxicology at Frontage Laboratories, Inc., since September 2021, having previously held roles at Labcorp Drug Development as Study Director, and at MilliporeSigma as Associate Director of Toxicology. Javed has significant expertise in Genetic Toxicology, particularly regarding the mutagenic effects of chromium in the tanning industry and the genotoxic effects of pesticides in humans. A pioneer in the development and validation of the Pig-a assay at the US FDA, Javed's research has included studying the mutagenic potential of various agents using multiple assays. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biotechnology from Quaid-e-Azam University and a PhD in Molecular Toxicology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, along with an MPhil in Biotechnology focused on Genetic Toxicology.
