Bob Newman

Bob Newman has extensive work experience in the scientific and biotech industries. Bob currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific, where they lead scientific strategy and drives global product development in various areas such as cell culture media, cell therapy, regenerative medicine, and reproductive technologies. Prior to this, Bob was the Senior Director of R&D and ACS at ATCC, overseeing innovation, product development, and business operations. Additionally, they worked as the R&D Manager for Stem Cells at BD and held various roles at Osiris Therapeutics, including Senior Manager of Biosurgery Business Development and Scientist in Product Development. Bob also has a background in academia, having worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Georgetown University Medical Center. In addition, they had a brief stint as a Professional Soccer Player for the New York Fever team. Overall, Bob's expertise lies in leading R&D initiatives, driving innovation, managing teams, and collaborating with industry and academic partners.

Bob Newman has a strong educational background in the field of biology and molecular sciences. Bob obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Georgetown University, where they studied from 1999 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned an M.S. in Biotechnology from Georgetown University, completing their studies in 1999. Bob Newman's undergraduate education took place at Colgate University, where they earned a B.A. in Molecular Biology from 1992 to 1996.

In addition to their formal degrees, Bob Newman has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Bob completed the "Leading Change" certification offered by LinkedIn in December 2021. Earlier in July 2021, they attained the "20 Habits of Executive Leadership" certification from LinkedIn.
