Joanna Stepien

Joanna Stepien is currently a Research Assistant at the University of Rhode Island since September 2023, collaborating with graduate students to evaluate transcriptions and assess non-verbal programming proficiency. In addition to this role, Joanna serves as a Mental Health Specialist at Fuller Hospital, leading goal-oriented therapeutic groups and conducting safety checks for patient well-being. Past experience includes working as a Brand Ambassador at Aéropostale, where customer service skills were utilized to engage with customers and organize merchandise, and as a Student Intern at Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center, assisting dementia patients and supporting nursing staff. Joanna is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Human Development at the University of Rhode Island, having previously earned a Certification in Health Careers from Woonsocket Career and Technical Center and a High School Diploma from Woonsocket High School.
