Rebecca Saunders Jones

Rebecca Saunders Jones has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and industries. Rebecca currently holds the position of Head of Operations at FuturU, a role they began in January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Operations - Defence at Improbable since August 2021. Rebecca also holds the position of Fellow at The RSA (The royal society for arts, manufactures and commerce), starting in April 2021. Previously, they worked as a Non Executive Director at Ploughshare Innovations from January to September 2021.

Rebecca's extensive tenure at Dstl showcases their progression within the organization. Rebecca held various roles including Strategic Change Lead - Secondment from June 2020 to August 2021, Defence and Security Analysis Division Strategic Business Leader from August 2019 to June 2020, Human and Social Sciences Group Leader from July 2017 to August 2019, Personnel and Human Performance Team Leader from October 2014 to July 2017, Human Factors Integration Team Leader (maternity cover) from April to October 2014, and Human Factors Practitioner from January 2008 to April 2014.

In addition to their professional career, Rebecca also had a role as the Cellist for The String Trio from June 2005 to October 2011.

Rebecca Saunders Jones obtained a PG Cert in Health Ergonomics from the University of Surrey in 2010-2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with Ergonomics from Loughborough University from 2004 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Rebecca has obtained several certifications, including the Role of the Non Executive Director from The Institute of Directors in April 2021, the Red Team Thinking Master Class Series from Red Team Thinking® in March 2021, the My Personal Best leadership development programme from Dstl in April 2020, and Chartership from the Chartered Institute of ergonomics and human factors in April 2016.
