Matt Lewis has a diverse work experience in the field of design. Matt is currently working at FYLD as the Product Design Lead, where they have been since November 2020. Previously, they held the position of Senior Product Designer at FYLD from May 2020 to November 2020.
Before joining FYLD, Matt worked at HOMESERVE LABS LIMITED as a Senior UX/UI Designer from June 2017 to May 2020. Prior to that, they were a Senior Designer at DrinkUp.London from February 2014 to May 2017, leading the design for new ventures such as London Cocktail Week, London Wine Week, and London Beer Week. Matt also worked on UX and UI for Drinkup. Ldn website and app during that time.
From May 2013 to May 2017, Matt served as a Senior Designer at The Whisky Exchange, specializing in digital design for a responsive ecommerce site and features. Matt directly collaborated with major brands and distilleries on microsites and digital marketing projects.
Matt began their career as a Freelance Designer at their own company, Matt Lewis Design, from December 2009 to March 2015. Matt provided design and consultancy services to various clients, ranging from start-ups to charities and academic institutions.
In addition to their professional work, Matt has also worked as a Design Tutor at South Hampstead High School in June 2014, conducting design workshops and training students in Adobe suite software and visual design principles. Matt also worked as a Freelance Digital Designer at Marks and Spencer, supporting the production and promotion of e-commerce sites for European markets from February 2013 to May 2013.
Prior to that, they were a Digital Designer at Route Digital Limited from June 2011 to January 2013, where they led design projects for clients such as Under Armour, Clarins, Jaeger LeCoultre, and Mulberry, among others. From May 2010 to May 2011, Matt worked as a Digital Designer at Groovytrain UK Limited, where they worked on various digital projects for clients including IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger LeCoultre, and Paul A. Young Fine Chocolates.
At the start of their career, they served as a Graphic Designer at Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council from January 2009 to December 2009.
Matt Lewis attended the University of Leeds from 2005 to 2008, where they earned a 2.1 degree in Graphic & Communication Design BA (Hons). Prior to that, they attended Davenant Foundation School from 1998 to 2005, but it is unknown if they obtained a degree or field of study from there. In terms of additional certifications, Matt obtained a certification in Digital Copywriting from Emarketeers in August 2020, a certification in Better Design With Paper Prototyping and Testing from General Assembly in April 2018, and a certification in Mobile User Experience Design from Akendi Training & Coaching in January 2016.
