Ferry Tanu

Ferry Tanu has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Ferry is currently working at Fyusion, Inc as the Principal Engineering Manager, overseeing mobile engineering and responsible for API and SDK Core design. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of SDK at Fyusion, where they improved code quality and testability and led the re-architecting of the Fyuse SDK (Android).

Before joining Fyusion, Ferry worked at Yahoo as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, they led the migration of the Video API from YQL platform to a Java-based framework and integrated the Video SDK with Google ExoPlayer. Ferry also developed and refactored the Android Video SDK using RxJava. Ferry was also involved in backend engineering projects for YMCA and Video API, building on top of Yahoo's YQL platform.

Prior to their time at Yahoo, Ferry worked at WDS as a Senior Software Engineer, where they practiced Agile Methodology and TDD and introduced GWT (Google Web Toolkit) as the technical lead for the project. Ferry also served as a Solution Architect at Hewlett-Packard, reviewing and enhancing application architecture and design, leading application performance tuning projects, and conducting training on code quality improvement.

Ferry's early work experience includes a role as a Principal Technical Consultant at eMobile Ltd, where they rewrote a legacy application from Delphi to Java, introduced SCM and bug tracking tools, and led the team in programming and code conventions. Ferry also worked as a System Developer at IBM.
