Carlo Kostka serves as General Counsel for the Americas and International at GCF Generale Costruzioni Ferroviarie Spa since January 2022, playing a pivotal role in the company’s strategic expansion in North America, overseeing legal and risk management aspects. Prior to this, Carlo was Senior of Counsel at Covington & Burling LLP, advising financial institutions on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters, and Co-Head of Group Legal at UniCredit, responsible for international legal operations. Carlo's extensive experience includes roles as Global Head of Legal and Partner at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, respectively, focusing on corporate finance transactions across Europe. Early career experience included associate positions at major law firms and an analyst role at SAIC. Carlo holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School, a Master’s degree in International Relations from Columbia University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Columbia College.
