Alex M.

Alex M. has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and management. They started their career in 2007 as a Software Engineer at EME International, where they developed server applications for mobile stock market portfolio tracking. Later, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Houston, teaching computer science principles and grading exams. In 2009, Alex joined Bridges International as a Technology Specialist, maintaining organizational systems and assisting international students in computer science topics. At PROS, starting in 2011, they served as a Senior Software Engineer, leading a team in developing web-based applications and collaborating with product management and UX engineers. From 2016 to 2017, Alex worked at S&P Global Platts as a Senior Software Developer, leading design sessions and implementing DevOps pipelines. At Sonatype, from 2017 to 2021, they transitioned to Engineering Management and provided leadership to tech leads and engineers, focusing on cloud-native applications and DevSecOps adoption. Most recently, they joined Acorns in 2021 as an Engineering Manager for Investment Products before moving to G-Research in 2022 as the Engineering Manager - US Lead.

Alex M. holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston, which was completed between 2008 and 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and Automatic Control Systems from Tanta University, which spanned from 2000 to 2005.
