Andrea Bisso

Managing Director & Site Head at Gadeta

Andrea Bisso has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2006 when they were a Ph.D. student in Molecular Medicine at Universita' di Trieste & LNCIB. Andrea then became a Post Doc in the same institution, researching the oncogenic functions of mutant p53 and the discovery and study of novel microRNAs regulating the activity of the p53 pathway. In 2012, they became a Postdoctoral Researcher at both IEO Istituto Europeo di Oncologia and Center for Genomic Science of IIT@SEMM, where they focused on understanding the role of the MYC, WNT and Hippo pathways in tumorigenesis, by performing functional genetic screenings and developing new preclinical mouse models of B-cell lymphomas and liver tumors. Most recently, in 2020, Andrea Bisso became the Associate Director at Gadeta, where they managed pre-clinical development/pharmacology programs, supervised a team of four technicians, four scientists, and one PhD student, developed or prepared strategic plans with management, initiated and managed collaborations with CROs and academy groups, prepared presentations and reports for external interactions, and attended and presented at international conferences and meetings.

Andrea Bisso obtained their PhD in Molecular Medicine from Università degli Studi di Trieste between 2006 and 2009. Andrea also studied Biotechnology at the same university from 2000 to 2005.
