Senior Scientist Discovery / Bioinformatics at Gadeta

Peter Reinink has held various roles in the scientific field since 2007. Peter began their career as a Research Technician at Universiteit Utrecht in 2007, where they gained experience in molecular biology techniques, cell culture, flow cytometry, and confocal microscopy. In 2010 and 2011, they held Trainee roles at Universiteit Utrecht and Jacobs University Bremen, respectively. From 2011-2014, they worked as a Bio-informatician/Technician at the Hubrecht Institute. During this time, they also pursued a PhD Candidate role at Universiteit Utrecht, where they studied the ability of lipids from pathogenic bacteria to activate the immune system. In 2015, they were a Research Trainee at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and in 2018, they were a Visiting Researcher at the same hospital. Since 2019, they have been a Scientist and Jr. Scientist Discovery/Bioinformatics at Gadeta.

Peter Reinink obtained a Doctor (dr) degree in Immunology from Utrecht University between 2014 and 2018. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc in Bioinformatics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) between 2009 and 2011. Peter also obtained a BAS in Molecular Biology from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht) between 2003 and 2007, and an Informatics degree from the same institution between 2002 and 2003. Peter also attended Gregorius, but did not obtain a degree. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Docker Fundamentals from Docker, Inc in January 2020, Laboratory Animal Science Art. 9 from KNAW - Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen, and Radiation Safety 5B from TU Delft.
