Karl Mosgofian

Karl Mosgofian has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Karl began their career as the President/Consultant of ASTA Computer Services, where they founded a consulting firm focused on custom business database applications. Karl managed a small team and handled various responsibilities including business analysis, programming, project management, and sales. In 1990, they joined Alta Group as the MIS Manager, overseeing information technology and implementing the Symix system. In 1987, they worked as an IT Manager at Comdisco.

Mosgofian joined Cadence Design Systems in 1995 and held the position of Sr. Manager, Enterprise Applications. Karl led the implementation, maintenance, and projects for business and engineering applications. Their roles included managing a team of analysts, programmers, and DBAs, and they were involved in major projects like creating a new defect tracking system. Karl also worked as a Strategic Consultant at Apple, providing expertise in software delivery excellence.

In 2000, Mosgofian worked as the Director of Professional Services at BroadWord, leading a team in executing technical IT projects for ASP customers. Karl also held the position of Director of Technical Services at RightOrder, where they were responsible for professional services, customer support, and account management. From 2001 to 2013, they worked for Cadence Design Systems as the Group Director of Enterprise Applications, Architecture & Strategy. Karl managed the enterprise application portfolio, provided architectural vision, and oversaw budget management and organization leadership.

Mosgofian served as the CIO at Harmonic from 2015 to 2017, leading the IT team and supporting the global workforce. Karl managed the integration of a European M&A, streamlined the applications environment, and facilitated the digital transformation.

Currently, Mosgofian is the CIO of Gainsight. Karl leads IT operations, enterprise applications, and information security. Karl also works closely with customer and partner IT leaders to ensure their success.

Karl Mosgofian studied Computer Science at San Francisco State University from 1980 to 1982. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Mini MBA from Santa Clara University, Security Fundamentals from the SANS Institute, and Strategic Leadership of Technology and Innovation from Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Education.
