Helio Carvalho

Helio Carvalho has a diverse work experience in the finance field. Helio started their career as a Trainee at International Accelerator from December 2016 to January 2018. Helio then worked as an Analyst Financial at Riot Games from March 2018 to March 2020, where they led the transition of the financial reporting model and collaborated with business unit managers for budgeting and forecasting. After that, they joined Mimic as a Financial Specialist from March 2020 to February 2021. In this role, they improved sales projection accuracy through econometric modeling and coordinated FinOps processes. Helio currently serves as the Head of Finance at Gaivota since January 2022, where they support the CEO in business planning, tax planning, and M&A activities. Helio leads the FinOps team and coordinates various finance processes. Prior to this, they also worked as a Controller at Gaivota from February 2021 to January 2022, where they managed the finance team and optimized financial closing processes, resulting in reduced payment delays.

Helio Carvalho's education history begins in 2012 when they enrolled at the Universidade Federal de Sergipe. Helio pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics, with a focus on Econometrics and Quantitative Economics. Helio completed their undergraduate studies in 2016.

In 2018, Helio Carvalho decided to further enhance their education and enrolled at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. Helio pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Financial Management. Helio'sMBA program lasted until 2020, providing him with comprehensive knowledge and skills in managing finances within organizations.

In 2023, Helio Carvalho continued their educational journey at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, where they pursued a Postgraduate degree (Pós-graduação Lato Sensu) in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and Corporate Sustainability. The program lasted until 2024, equipping him with in-depth knowledge and expertise in sustainable business practices and corporate responsibility.
