Julia McDowell

Julia McDowell is the current General Manager of Care Delivery at Galileo. Prior to this, they were the Sr. Director of HealthHUBs at CVS Health from February 2018 to September 2021. In this role, they were responsible for defining and articulating the HealthHUB care delivery and commercialization strategy, building cross-functional operating model and governance structures to develop and scale HUBs nationwide, and creating a recognizable, differentiated HUB consumer experience across products and service lines. Julia also shepherd development of first-wave product requirements for IT, staffing, and infrastructure.

Prior to CVS Health, Julia McDowell was a Summer Associate at Bain & Company from June 2017 to August 2017. Julia received a full-time offer from Bain & Company but decided to join Clinton Health Access Initiative instead. At Clinton Health Access Initiative, they were the Director of Family Planning from January 2011 to August 2016. In this role, they launched and led CHAI’s first global family planning program which was implemented in 10 African and Asian countries. Julia was responsible for developing the program strategy, hiring and overseeing the team, supervising execution and managing performance, securing funding and managing budget, and representing CHAI in key global partnerships. The focus of their work was on scale up of contraceptive implants with the goal of reducing the price by 50% for the world’s poorest countries. Under their leadership, implant consumption more than doubled across focus countries in just one year.

Julia McDowell has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Yale School of Management, a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Global Environmental Health from Emory University, and a BA with Honors in Development Studies and Latin American Studies from Brown University.

They work with Robin Tam - Chief Development Officer, Brad Taylor - CTO, and Tyler Manning - Head of Finance. Julia McDowell reports to Tom Lee, Founder & CEO. and Molly Wojno - Head of Care Delivery reports to Julia McDowell.
