Laura Tomei

Laura Tomei is a seasoned professional in the field of cartography, currently serving as the Senior Product Manager for EMEA Cartography & Content at Garmin Europe Ltd. since April 1999. In this role, Laura is responsible for defining the cartography products for the EMEA region, encompassing market analysis, product positioning, and commercialization strategies. Prior experience includes serving as the International Cartography Manager at Garmin Europe Ltd., where Laura acted as the liaison between the US headquarters and EMEA distribution. Earlier roles include Director of Cartography at Navionics Inc., overseeing production and R&D, and Database Manager at Navionics SpA, focusing on database management and team supervision. Laura holds a BSc (Honours) in Environmental Science from The Open University, completed from 2011 to 2017, and studied at Università di Pisa from 1986 to 1989.
