Tom McKinstry

Tom McKinstry has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Tom began their career in 2010 as a Maintenance Coordinator at the Southington Board of Education. From 2011 to 2015, they served as a Cavalry Scout 19D in the US Army, where they performed various duties related to operating and maintaining scout vehicles, firing weapons, and assisting in vehicle recovery. Following their military service, Tom worked as a Business Account Manager at Wayfair from 2015 to 2016 and as an Account Executive at Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. from 2016 to 2017. In 2019, they joined Bristol Hospital and Health Care Group, Inc. as an Emergency Medical Technician, and in 2020, they became the Head of Security at Gaylord Specialty Healthcare.

Tom McKinstry has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from UMass Boston, which they earned from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended Tunxis Community College from 2014 to 2016 to study Business Administration and Management, General, although they did not obtain a degree from there. In 2013 to 2014, they also pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Maryland. In terms of additional certifications, Tom obtained a Security Guard/Armed Security Guard certification from Special Licensing in April 2020 and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification from the Connecticut Department of Public Health in September 2018.
