Chris Lampen-Crowell

Chris Lampen-Crowell is a retired co-owner of Gazelle Sports, with a career starting in December 1985, and has been actively involved in various organizations. Currently serving as co-chair of the Running Industry Diversity Coalition since October 2020, Chris has also contributed as a member of the Kalamazoo Downtown Partnership Coalition for Growth until January 2024 and the Outdoor Recreation Advisory Council until February 2020. Previous roles include board membership at the Independent Running Retailers Association from 2012 to 2016, race director for the Southwest Michigan Race for the Cure with Susan G. Komen for the Cure from 2003 to August 2012, and board membership in several local organizations, including Downtown Kalamazoo Retailers Association and Downtown Kalamazoo, Inc. Chris holds a degree from Western Michigan University, completed between 1978 and 1982.
