Brett Faike

Brett Faike has a strong background in software development and architecture. Brett is currently working at GCI General Communication, Inc. as a Principal Software Architect, where they are responsible for architecting and building a custom software platform for offering managed services to enterprise customers. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Development Contractor at Brikit and founded their own software company called CognitivEdge, where they developed a custom enterprise server for managing tablets in the classroom. Brett also founded another software company called Doctor Connect, where they developed a wiki-centric doctor knowledge base. Brett has previous experience at EMC, Envirovista, Stepstone Pacific Ltd., MySentient, CreekPath Systems, and Hewlett-Packard, where they held various software engineering and development roles.

Brett Faike obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Colorado State University, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, Brett also acquired several certifications. Brett earned the AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in November 2018. Prior to that, in June 2018, they became a Docker Certified Associate through Docker, Inc. Furthermore, in April 2017, Brett obtained the Kubernetes Certification from Mirantis.
