Mary Shown has over 25 years of experience in process safety and risk management. Mary has worked at several notable companies, including GE Appliances, a Haier Company, Hexion Inc., and Abitibi Consolidated. At GE Appliances, they served as the Principal Engineer for Process Safety and Risk Management, where they were responsible for developing and implementing various programs and strategies related to process safety. Prior to that, Mary was the Process Safety Manager for the North American FPD Division at Hexion Inc., where they oversaw process safety, risk management, and security programs across multiple sites. Mary also worked as a Principle Process Safety Engineer at Abitibi Consolidated, where they were in charge of coordinating process safety and risk management initiatives and overseeing various environmental and regulatory compliance tasks. Mary brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of process safety and risk management, making their a valuable asset to any organization.

Mary Shown earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an environmental option from The University of Texas at Austin, where they attended from 1990 to 1992.
