Michael Musick

Michael Musick has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the IT and operations field. Michael started their career in 2002 as a Computer Hardware Solutions Technician at Custom Digital Electronics and later worked as a Computer Sales Associate at Fry's Electronics in 2003. From 2004 to 2005, they served as a Technical Support Manager at Perot Systems Government Services.

In 2004, Michael joined The Polyphonic Spree as a Vocalist/Percussionist, showcasing their musical talent in live stage shows, television, radio, and album recordings. Michael continued this role until 2006.

In 2005, they became a Systems Administrator at Celanese before joining Heritage Auctions as a Systems & Network Administrator in 2007. At Heritage Auctions, they managed the administration of in-house data center facilities and played a vital role in technical and operational tradeshow and live auction event initiatives. Michael remained in this role until 2009.

From 2009 to 2015, Michael worked at id Software, first as an IT Systems & Network Operations Manager and later as the Director of Operations for QuakeCon, an annual gaming event. Michael oversaw the management of network operations, as well as the planning and execution of QuakeCon, which included hosting a massive LAN party, an exhibition hall, sponsored gaming and esports tournaments, and various charity events.

In 2015, Michael joined Nerd Kingdom as an IT & Operations Director and Build Master. Michael played a crucial role in both IT and operations management until 2018.

From 2018 to 2020, Michael worked at Playful Studios. Initially, they served as the IT Director before taking on the role of Operations Director. As the Operations Director, they were responsible for overseeing the buildout, completion, and occupation of a new office building.

Since 2020, Michael has been associated with Gearbox Entertainment. Michael first held the position of IT Project Manager before being promoted to IT Engineering Manager. Currently, they are serving as the Director of IT.
